Default helical horn sub?

I'm working on a three way speaker to be driven with low powered amps.

after reading this page http://www3.ocn.ne.jp/~hanbei/eng-rear.html

I was wondering essentially flipping the design (10" down firing woofer in a 12" tube with upward spiral and a horn on top would net me decent sensitivity. Thanks!
