Hello,
I'm new to diy and speaker design but I'm curious to build a subwoofer. I have read a lot of positive words about the Peerless XLS line and aim to build one as physically small box as possible. After reading the application notes Link a 10" in a PR-design of 20L looks really good. I totally lack any experience of simulation and calculation of speaker boxes so a known design as the mentioned PR would be great. Two questions: - Does anyone here have experience of the 400g (or more) slave? - The application note describes a single PR. How about adding another PR? Is there anything to gain by doing that? Will it still work in a small 20L box? I hope someone have patience to answer B.R. Stefan |

I don't think the 2 passive radiators would be a good idea as all they do is act like a port and are based on the mass the of air inside the port that a vented design would have.
I have however read that using a passive radiator that is larger than the driven driver is a better option and if that's the case, then the 12" passive radiator would be better. Someone might be able to confirm that as I have never tested it.
