Default Finished my Subwoofer!

Hey all,

So about 2 months ago i bought a Kicker Comp C12 subwoofer for home use (cant find a sub with T/S parameters here exept car subs).
2 days ago i went to order the MDF and get it cut, total cost for the box was 70 NIS = $15. i was surprised that it was so cheap. yesterday i went to my dad's friends workshop and built the box, i used 17mm MDF and the box volume is just over 35L (1.25 cubic ft).

This thing has lots of bang for you buck, it can push a hell of alot, and the bass deep and tight, i am very pleased with it!
its a great subwoofer.

so here is a pic for you to see it

Thanks,
David Resnik

Hi David,

If it sounds good don't worry about the finsh. That's for later. Function over form.

Enjoy.

basstib,

I built a 2nd order low pass filter 60-250hz it also has boost from 15-150hz, phase from 0-180 degrese, Q, volume and 10x gain. it workes very well, i can fine tune evrything to get what i want out of it.

here is the filter diagram:

Default The Floor man

Sorry folks, I'm obsessed with the floor. I have only ever seen a floor like that in a hospital, school, mental institution or government office. So which one is it?

BTW nice sub

Shawn.

speekergeek,
The whole house shakes!! i love it, really tight bass.

Shawn,
The floor that you see is what we have in evry home here in israel, exept for the newer ones (from about 4 years ago) which are not as ugly.. i live in a relatavly old building, so i got the old tiles.. lol

Hope that helps you...

David,

I'd like to build this one as well, for some experimenting, but there are some values I don't quite get... Espacially the C's..
0.10, 0.047, 0.022 etc.... is that in pF or uF?
And the potmeter for the 4th order, that's a quad one, right?
And the 301 resistor right at the output?

I'll take the 4k7 at the end out, and the whote 'top' of the scheme (The auto power thinggy)

Thanks,

Paul
