Default Tannoy TS8

got my new Tannoy TS8 sub a couple of weeks ago, after listening to it for a day or so, i finaly gave up and took it apart to have a look at it

looking inside, there is no bracing internaly at all, the amp board gets quite warm and the inside does aswell as there is no external heatsink.

i was thinking if it would be a good idea to mount the controls and amp in a seperate unit and seal up the remaining gap with some wood as a tempory solution.
