Built a sub using a TB 8" and a 150w amp, (PE#300-792). Plugged it in an no workie. I'm running it off a Phillips HT receiver that has a mono out. The instructions say to run mono out's to the right (red) input. When I plug it in hot, I hear the hum of a connection being made between the sub and a reciever, so I know that things are working with the sub, but nothing once the RCA jack is fully inserted. Any ideas? Would a single to double RCA be worth a shot, going from the mono receiver into the L/R jacks on the sub? I'm out of ideas.

Ok, ran down to Radio Shack, picked up a 2-1 RCA and it works like a champ!
