NEED HELP!! Vintage B&W 800 ASW repair/modify

I have a vintage 1997 B&W 800 ASW which match the old matrix 805s.
I live in the philippines, (VERY HOT AND HUMID) and the surrounds have begun to disintegrate. I contacted my local B&W, regarding a "CONE KIT." apparently, b&w no longer supplies these, and recommend an entirely new driver which costs US $600! If there's anyone out there that can help!

Have a look at renewing the surround yourself and not too difficult. The driver parameters might change a bit but hey, cheaper than a new driver.

That's quite disapointing - after only 9 years! Is it a foam surround?

Those recone kits aren't really that cheap! AU $60 ... an XLS 12" driver costs ~$300 by way of comparison.

Perhaps DIY is worth considering, as in make a new and better sub.

EDIT: that was for foam surrounds, rubber are AU $80!
