im about to start a project using 2 55-1545s from http://www.mcminone.com/product.asp?...5Fid=55%2D1545
in an iso-barik configuration in a 1.0 cu ft box with a 2.5X19 inch port tuned to 25hz just thought i would ask anyone what they thought and if it would be worth it using mostly for home theatre usage |

... QTS of .39 indicated good for ported or maybe sealed but otherwise not what I would be looking for....
I might suggest a larger driver, a dayton DVC in a 8" or 10" would still give you 2 x 8ohms but I think a better response, and also cheaper then 2 of those. |

for the price of 2 of those you could get the 8"TB woofer from parts express...
I really doubt those will work very well for HT usage...MAYBE in a 2way speaker but not as a sub... You will be much happier with the TB woofer (w8-704c) from partsexpress. If you want a cheaper option then there is always the mcmelectronics version of the tbwoofer. Its an 8" high excursion... I can't remember the part number off hand...but it was 30ish bucks iirc |
