Hi all,

I have a Westra KW160-1374 (in fact a pair of) bass speaker. And i want to make a little subwoofer with it. I will drive it a 50W power amp and of course a sub xover. I also want it in tiny sizes and have a lot of deep bass.

What do you recommend about that project? What kind of box must i use for it?

Thanks a lot for your recommendations..

or for the sub, you may want to make a bandpass and mount the two drivers like this:

Yes i agree, it will never be a real subwoofer! But far east producers use 6.5" always... Like LG, Samsung, Philips etc.. As i hear they give satisfull performance (but not like a Harman Cardon). I need only LG like bass level not more! What do you think? If i install two of them as iso barik and in a 4th order bandpass (appx 30lt total) box can i hear 30hz?

Do you mean that?;

(Pls look at the "Isobarik Woofer Mounting")

As i can understand this system has two volumes; one of them is between two speakers the other is the bass reflex box (the real one). Is it? I mean will i install the drivers in a little BOX with the same way? (As shown in figure)

And my speakers are 4ohm so i cannot connect them in parallel! Can i connect them in serial (for 8ohm). Does it make difference?

In that case is 20lt box enough?

Thanks a lot for your helps..

Not at all, I want you to install both woofers like this :

Both firing in the same direction, one above the other.
If you want to go with isobaric, then the first design is better, the second design you posted is not good, thermal problems and worse air coupling.

Here is another drawing...

Put both woofers, both on the front baffle.
