6cuft box, 700cm2 vent area 23cm long, this for the pair.
points to remember; The peak in response is higher than the tuning frequency, so if the car peaks at 55hz you have to tune lower than this, so the enclosure peaks at where you want it. The tuning of the enclosure will actually drop when loaded in a car so you have to tune a little higher to compensate. (My TL SPL enclosure tuning drops 10hz in the car) These 2 statements do not cancel themselves out |

Do cars have a resonance? if you can match the woofers/enclosures resonance with your cars you make gain some sound pressure for what it's worth.
55Hz is not something i would like a woofer to peak at, not when the woofers Fs is 26Hz? you may damaged them in the long run.

I assumed his cars resonance was 55Hz, which was why he wanted to hit max SPL at that frequency.

the rules of the competition is to check the SPL Level in 55HZ....
because that i tuning the subwoofer box to the maximum in 55HZ... it is ok no?.... i dont know how to measure the resonance of my car... tamir |
