simple question:
How many of you create a small enclosure around the plate amp to better seal the box? Is it necessary? Is the S200W pretty well sealed and built therefore not requiring any internal 'sub-enclosure'? |

I've just put one in a small sub and no separate enclosure. These units are well sealed and if you are worried, add some extra sealant where the speaker wire goes through the case.
About the S200W http://www.stonessoundstudio.com.au/...woofer_amp.htm Some builders like to have the amp divided off from the rest of the enclosure as they are concerned about pressures inside the box but I have found it unecessary. Others are worried about vibrations so they place it in a separate box away from the sub. Ya takes ya pick.
