I've just put one in a small sub and no separate enclosure. These units are well sealed and if you are worried, add some extra sealant where the speaker wire goes through the case.

Some builders like to have the amp divided off from the rest of the enclosure as they are concerned about pressures inside the box but I have found it unecessary. Others are worried about vibrations so they place it in a separate box away from the sub. Ya takes ya pick.
