Question velodyne dls-r series amp

I recently purchased a velodyne dls-r series amp pulled from a dls400r sub. The problem is the amp has hook-ups for an accelerometer and IR sensor. The question is, will leaving the sensor and accelerometer result in a non-funtioning amp, blue smoke, blown driver, etc. If anyone has experience with this amp please post. thanks.

leaving an infrared sensor unplugged wont do anything.

i didnt think (actually, i KNOW) that the DLS series does not use servo feedback. maybe the connections are for something else? the accelerometer/comparator circuits arent implimented until the SPL or higher series.

but, since there is no servo stuff on the amp, it probably wouldnt hurt to just hook it up.

Test it with a dummy load or old speaker that you don't mind destroying before you try expensive drivers.
