Default Cheap SQ Sub

I need a subwoofer under 100 dollars that is optimized for music SQ, and will be used in a car.

You might try the autotuba. For the price of the driver ($35 or so) and the plywood and some time to build the subwoofer, you will be right around $100.

If you don't mind waiting around for a while you might want to wait for Ascendant Audio's new product line. Their budget driver offering will be around $100 and Ascendant Audio drivers have excellent performance for the price.

If you are willing to build a box, for car audio, I would suggest the "Wicked One" from www.decware.com I have 2 infinity reference series tens in it I got for 30 a piece, so 60 in drivers, 40 for wood. $100 and its loud and clean.
