Default Port outside the box??

Quick Q - is it OK to run part of the port of a bandpass enclosure outside the enclosure?

I want to run the port through a hole in a wall and have the enclosure on the other side.

Will that work?

Nice one - much appreciated.

I wanted to check before I told someone it was OK to make a hole in the wall...

The sound waves don't know if they are in a box or not when they move through the port, so I won't tell them if you don't
