I've got a 13.5 w7 and a BEHRINGER EP2500 EUROPOWER amp to power it. My question is I want to build a ported box for it in the next couple days but don't know what size to make it. Anyone help me out?
I'm wanting it to be loud for movies. I want it to hit the extra low stuff but I want to be able to listen to music with it and not suck big time. So I'm thinking mid to low 20 hz port? Don't know how big to use for the port nor how big to use on the box. w7 should be getting right around 1k watts. |

How big can you tolerate? Since you probably don't want any port noise, you would need quite big ports so a big box helps to have shorter ports. You could use passive radiators to keep the box small...
You could use two 4 inches diameter dual flared ports 30 inches long with a box of 24x24x36... hehe!

20 cubes, 3x 4''x16'' vents, 3db down at 16hz
Group delay doesn't get silly untill ~20 hz so will still sound fine with music. |
