Hi,
I simulated an 8th order bandpass enclosure in subwoofer simulator. I want to use round vents that are 6 cm in diameter, according to my math that is: 6 * 6 * 1/4 * pi = 28,27 cm² 28,27 * 0,15500031 = 4,38 square inch However when I enter this in subwoofer simulator the huge vent length it calculates can't be correct can it? ![]() I get the same results when I simulate a vented enclosure and compare it to winisd. Can anyone help? I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. |

Because, you must put half-diametar (Rv) at Av. In program, it is written Av, but its calculate with Rv (diametar/2).
In this case, Rv is 30 mm or 1.181 inch. I sugest to work with 2 or 3 tubes with that diametar, for every volume. In the case of 3 tubes, its sqr(3)*Rv=1.732*1.181(inch)=2.046 inch (half-diametar 52 mm) |

I don"t know is that correct, but I wouldn"t do that. It seems to complicated. Simulation are not exact what you got in real, specialy for something like this. Good luck.
