Tweeking Trust SP 3600A subwoofer

Hi All,

I recently installed a Trust SP 3600A 2.1 system in our kitchen to extend our Home cinema system. The setup works great except for the bass, it's far to "boomy". I have "stuffed" the port with some rolled up foam and the effect is almost perfect. Is there anything else I can do to reduce the bass response? The subwoofer is ported to the rear and there is no bass control on the wired remote, only On/Off and Volume.
I suppose that the ideal would be to put a variable high pass filter on the input.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Frank

You could put the subwoofer far away from the floor, ceiling, walls and especially corners. You'll lose some bass that way.
