Default JL Audio Horn???

Hello everyone,

I recently acquired 3 JL Audio 6W0-12 subwoofers. These are some pretty stout little subs and I was wondering if anyone here could help me design a horn to place all 3 in. Mabey something long and skinny so that it would fit well behind my sofa. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

hi juan,

sorry, I cant help with the design, but I could not help notice that those woofers have extremely low efficiency
are you aware of that?
my opinion is that you would be far better of obtaining something more efficient than trying to increase efficiency by few dB's by complicated hard to built horn enclosure with those

Yeah, the effciency is low but I am thinking about pusing them with 2 BrianGT LM4780 kits bridged so it should have enough juice to push them. I also want to build the horn because I want the challenge

And also they are currently in a long skinny ported box of about 3-4 cubic feet and they sound quite nice and move much more air than they should given their size.

HORNRESP is accepted by some to have a more advanced model for the LF.

Long and skinny = TLINE

How large can you go?
How low ? If you want sensitivity you must build a massive box.
