Lowpass Filter Layout

Hi everyone

I'm looking to build my first sub with an amplifier

I've already got a small amp to power it with but I'm looking for a Lowpass filter schematic and more importantly, layout

If anyone can help me I'll be grateful

Active filter? Passive filter? What order? 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th...
