vent noise on a ported box

this is my first box and qestion
i recentl managed to obtain a 10" alpine type-e car subwoffer with 600watts peak and 200rms acording to box
well the problem i have is some vent noise at moderate levels on my reciver at a litle over i quarter volume.
the box i had made for it was out of .75" mdf and was 30"L/13"W/10"D
and 4x3"dia. ports and 10' long
any advice would be greatly appreciated thnx

If the ports aren't flared, try rounding off where they exit the box with a router fitted with a rollover bit.

If I have converted into metric OK, your box will be about 40 litres working volume. Four 75mm ports 250mm long will give you a tuning frequency of about 73 hz. A bit high for a sub!

I think the issue is that the tuning is far too high causing high vent velocity and unloading of the drive unit causing it to flap to pieces, the combination of these two will sound like excess noise. Block/get rid of two of your vents.

Assuming this is a driver with less than an inch of xmax p-p, then that's vent size overkill - you will need vents far too long. A typical 10" car driver should be happy with a single flared 3" vent.

I THINK ILL TRY PUTTING SOME DAMPENING AND PLUGGING U A COUPLE PORTS FOR NOW I CANT CAUSE THERE AT MY OTHER HOUSE.
