I figured its time i give back to the community
so heres the info on the new peerless xxlss sub tried it with a 12 inch passive radiator in an underbraced 2.5 cubic foot cabinet. with a massive ammount of air leakage, because of lack of silicone and i put the sun onto a 6 year old Boss amp that was falling appart i've heard the adire shiva, the adire tempest, high excursion audiobahns, EVERYTHING kicker makes, because i sell it. i've played aorund wiht electrovoice subwoofers, (8 18's) i've even heard the shiva wiht a 15 inch passive radiator. i've heard infinity reference woofers and alot of other good stuff, and i run a car audio shop this old hunk of junk box with the suba nd the PR in it, is by far the most defined, deep controlled and musical bass i have ever heard, EVER, tomorow i plan on heavily bracing hte box using silicon and putting some controction wool in there. i plan on using a real nice digital amp on it, and i will give another progress report,, if anyone wants to buyt heese subs form me, i can ship them out of my car audiuo store and accept visa and mastercard, Jaden_linkletter@hotmail.com

I had originally picked out an XXLS for my subwoofer project, but I finally settled on an Ascendant Audio Atlas due to the low low price. I am still debating whether the XXLS would have been a better choice for sound quality, because it's moving mass is half that of the AA speaker.
Just out of curiosity how do your prices compare to Solen?

Hi, Everything you said sounded (subjectively) legit until I read your last sentence, which turned it into an advertisement selling wares. Doesn't something like that belong under Trading Post or better yet, Audio Vendor's Bazaar since you own an audio store? Mark |

I didn't find it as much of an advertisement, but I guess it could be.
Forget my comment about moving mass, apparantly I can't read and both drivers are very close on that specification.

I have not been around for a very long time, but owe a great deal to the community, i have decided TO give back, stay tuned, i have to decide how i want to do it. lets just say i have moved on from audio, and found a great secret. i may share it, i will have to think long and hard about how i will do it.......stay tuned.
Dcibel: My prices were at that time the same as solen. I had a wholesale price on them, so i could afford to sell it to people for waht they sell it for and still profit. the peerless driver is very nice, to this day i have not heard anything better, probably cant be explained with numbers, peerless has been making speakers for over 75 years, and are owned by the same people as scan-speak and vifa. HOOHA: the reason i said if anyone wants one they can get it from me is because one, most poeple dont know where to buy those, two, i have visa/mastercard, as an added convenience to other enthusiasts three, i can ship it faster because of business account with shipper, as, yet another convenience to the members of the community. four, i like conveniencing the other members. and the last number 5 to give people like you something to complain about all day. p.s. 6 - if htey buy it from me i get to hear what they did with it. 7 - if they need help or ideas i get to participate. 8 - i get to find out what a certain design turns out like, without doing the work to find out. and PAN, your just an idiot. i typed that like 3 years ago man, you responded to it in setpember 2007. do i have to say anything else?

I almost fell out of my chair laughing. Pan's reply was at the same time as the original post. Pan's (re)registration date was Sept. '07. Who's mental acuity needs examining now?
