There was nothing last time I looked!

So are you going to tell us a bit more about your sub? Titanic Mk III in vented box?

Paul and badman:

Sometimes there is a little delay before the pic opens. You might not even detect there is a picture there. I'm guessing it's related to the amount of traffic on the site at that moment.

yes it is the Titanic MKIII in vented box.

It sounds great, better than in the sealed enclosure. Believe it or not, it sounds a lot smoother, deeper and tighter than in the sealed enclosure. This driver was definitely built for larger enclosures, preferably ported in my opinion. According to PE specs, it is supposed to be tuned at 25hz, but according to my first tests, it is tuned in the teens.

I'll update my web site to include the details of the construction with pics and some tests of what the sub can do.

The hardest part for me was the finishing and moving the thing around. I'll weight it when I have the time, but my guess is that it weights at least 200lbs without the amp (the amp is external). A professional looking piano gloss finish is not as easy to achieve, but fortunately it came out pretty well.

The port is 6" in diameter. I had never seen PVC pipes that big, and you should have seen the elbow.

I designed it to approximate the look of a tower speaker, a cube would have taken a lot more floor space and it wouldn't have looked as nice. It stands about 2" taller than my floor standers.

Which seems strange considering I modeled about 15 different drivers for a very small sealed enclosure, and the Titanic MKIII gave me the best graph out of all of them

ShockValue,

I made a sealed enclosure for this driver and it was pretty good, but I think it sounds better in a ported enclosure.

I made the sealed enclosure for music, but even though it was pretty good, it wasn't as clean sounding.

Even in the sealed enclosure the driver did a substantialy better job for HT than for music. So in my opinion this driver is better suited for HT and ported enclosures.

Where can I get an external crossover? I have three subs and I want to leave two crossed at 80Hz by the receiver, and cross this one a bit lower, like at 60Hz.
