I think you mean sealed. Ported boxes exhibit a 24dB per octave roll-off, but the room gain will only put back 12dB per octave (based on optimum room gain. Anything other than optimum will result in less gain).

I'd say a sealed box with a Q of 0.5 would be best - these tend to work best when room gain is applied.
