I have a big van and I want to build a horn that will handle the lowest frequences. From 50 - 60 Hz down to the bitter or as low as possible.
I don`t have anything of the equipment but I wil use a big amp so that will not be one of my worries. The woofer is still unknown and I want you to give me some input on this construction. First of all: What kind of construction will you recomend? This is just a project of mine and maybe it will work, maybe not. Time will show. Keep `em coming folks! Mvh Pål |

Does anyone have the plans for the Death Box II? Or some other drawings from decware?!
I would have the horn to go lower than the WO and WO32 but everything is of interest at this time. I want to see some drawings before I decide, tho... Thanx for the tip, DJNUBZ! |

You will find some horn subs that may interest you. No affiliation with the man. Just that I have built a couple lf different designs and they seem to work well. Mark

Thats right they do work well with abit of ripple.
You may want to design your horn as a 1pi horn rather than 0.5pi corner horn,so that when you open the doors the output doesnt dissapear! Those deathboxes etc arent classed as horns in my books. I would suggest a modular design, one horn and one horn extension.[labhorn size] |

The death boxes are not horns. The Wicked one and wicked one 32 are horns or horn variants.

Thanx alot guys!
Very interesting boxes and horns. I am open to suggestions from you more experienced folks `cause you know that I am very new to this kind of cabinets. I suppose that you guys have the right program to calculate for me some boxes to two woofers that I usually sell to my customers. It is two 10" Morel Elate 10 woofers with the following data: Nominal Impedance 4 Ohm Power Handling 200W Max. Transient Power Handling 1000W Sensitivity (2.83V/1M) 92dB Frequency response 15-3000Hz FS 32Hz Voice Coil Diameter 75mm (3”) Voice Coil Height 14.5mm (.57”) Voice Coil type/ Former Aluminium Voice Coil Wire Hexatech Aluminium DC Resistance 3.8Ohm Voice Coil Inductance @1Khz 0.63MH Magnet system Hybrid Rear Vented HE- Magnetic Gap Height 6mm (0.25”) B- Flux density 0.95T BL Product/BXL 9.36 Max Linear Excursion/Xmax 8.5mm (±4.25) Suspension Compliance CMS 518 Mechanical Q factor QES 0.46 Total Q Factor Q/T 0.36 QMS 1.69 Mechanical Resistance RMS 2.92KgS¹ Moving Mass MMS 49.2gr Equivalent Cas Air Load VAS 76.4 Liters Effective piston area SD 324cm2 Cone Material DPC (Damped Polymer Composite) Unit Diameter 263mm (10.35”) Mounting Depth 74mm (2.91”) Mounting Cutout 230mm (9.05”) Dia. Net Weight 1.470Kg Will these woofers work in boxes like the WO and WO32? What other type of boxes will be great for these woofers? I want the woofer to go as deep as possible! Looking forward to your suggestions on this matter! Have a great sunday everyone! Best regards to everyone |

THis is a great program. You will have to read the help carefully but when you understand it you will be able to design and simulate pretty much anything that you may need. MARK
