I wanted to make the sub into a walnut table, to match the rest of my furniture, but I priced the veneer and walnut lumber that I wanted and it was going to be about $300 plus nearly $100 for two sheets of Baltic Birch ply. This was just too much cash for a Saturday afternoon. When I finalize the design, I will invest in some more attractive materials.
