Thumbs down Hooking up a third sub???

I have a pair of Definitive Technology BP 7006 which have built in 8" 300 watt subs. Right now I have both of them hooked up to my an Integra receiever LFE. So right now I am using a splitter for both of the subs. I feel like they don't hit the low tones like my 10" sub did. My question is do you think it would hurt the receiever by splitting it again and having it split three ways to the three different subs.

firstly define what the splitter is doing

If its doing what I think it is,your are going to run 3 subs in parallel, thus dropping your total impedence to dangerously low levels.

To run multiple subs properly you need to be running a load that the amplifier can handle, while placing the subwoofers correctly in room.

Since the woofers are driven from a built in amp, you should be OK splitting again and driving another active sub. On the other hand, if your 10" active sub has a built in electronic low pass filter (probable) you might run into bass quality problems due to the low pass filter from LFE + the low pass filter from the 10" sub.
