Has anyone been able to find the patent for this? I tried looking it up but I don't really know what I'm doing in that area. I'd like to learn more about the PAM technology.

I think you're in luck. There isn't a patent yet on using air as the propagating medium. Just don't mention that to Amar

I once read a review on one of their domestic subs in an Aussie HiFi mag and it got quite good critics. There was also a picture of it with the bottom removed (I attached a drawing of how I remember it). The reflex tunnel is heading into the slot as is the driver's frontal output itself though around this double-Y thingie, the latter forming something like an acoustic lowpass. All in all this is another form of a bandpass IMO.

Edit: If you have a closer look, then they mention several times that they take room gain into consideration already at the design stage. This way it wouldn't be that difficult to achieve those efficiency/fc figures !!!!
