Hey Guys,
Does anyone know where on the internet I can find a decent 6.5 inch 4 ohm subwoofer for an Altec Lansing ACS56? Thanks |

I would look into that high excursion 6.5 sub from tang band.

What about this:
http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshow...number=290-352 Will it be able to handle the power, as it seems a bit cheap. Should I go for better quality? |

Budget?
And I wouldn't worry about power handling; the ACS56 doesn't have a very beefy power supply. |

Hey 454Casull, thanks for the replies.
The DAYTON 6-1/2" woofer wont work too well as I need a 4 ohm woofer to get the max output from the amp (the original speaker is 4 ohms too). I searched all of partsexpress and all I could not find anything so great. Althought I could have missed something. Any more web sites I could check? I am willing to spend up to $50. Thanks |

When the new Tang Band comes out, it will have a 4-ohm impedance. I guess you'll have to be a bit patient, as they're still trying to make it reliably. At least that's the buzz I've heard - perhaps TB is having some issues making the drivers.

The sub is question appears to be a small reflex design ?
If so the Goldwood would not work well. Can you give an estimate of internal volume and port dimensions ? |
