Hey everyone, i would like to make my own bass shakers for my couch. I have thought about it alot and here is my initial idea, please comment and let me know what u think.
I plan to try it with a few VERY cheap drivers from jaycar, around 4-5" and about $5-$10. I cannot explain what i mean so here is a picture. The green is weighting and the red is flexible thin steel. |

Just buy one from monacor - they make a cheap knock off of the butt-kicker, a suitable loudspeaker for conversion would be way more expensive than the pre made one

seems to be good...
I made one bass shaker using cheap Right 12". it's real good I used similar construction like yours, but I used a big bolt clued to voicecoil with 2-component epoxy clue. it's really easy to mount it to the bottom of the sofa and feel the bass... |
