tactile transducer BASS SHAKER

Surfing I found how to make a bass shaker.
The link does not longer have the pictures and due to my basic english I cannot understand how to put the weight at the center.
If somebody have done it or understands, THIS IS A NICE PROJECT

I tried to make one of those with an old radio shack woofer I had laying around. At the moment of truth, I hooked it up to the sub output, turned up the volume, and .......... nothing. So I did the reasonble thing and cranked the volume up, wow, it was the first, well and only time I ever saw smoke coming from a speaker.

I bought 3 pair on Aura's on ebay.

Hope your's shake instead of smoke.
