HI folks dumb question ahead........when building a cabinet......for a subwoofer...are screws recommended to whole the joints together???? or would glue alone do just as good.......if you need screws what type of screws to use and how far apart should i place them.......and what are some precautions to use while screwing

You can use just glue. But not just screws. But I would highly recommend using both as the screws help make a tighter joint while the glue sets. And then why bother taking them out.

I like to use countersunk decking screws as they are coarse and grip better. Most importantly, drill pilot holes before screwing to prevent the wood from cracking. I like to place them roughly 15cm apart.
