Hello everyone, I've recently purchased 2 Carpower Sonic 15 drivers and I'm looking for a bit of help on building enclosures for them. I've had experience building a transmission line, bass reflex and sealed enclosures in the past for previous drivers but I'm not sure what to go with for these ones. Their specs are:
· Impedance (Z) 2 x 2ohms
· Resonant frequency (fs) 25Hz
· Max. frequency range f3-300Hz
· Music power 2 x 800WMAX
· Power rating (P) 2 x 400WRMS
· SPL (1W/1m) 88dB
· Suspension compl. (Cms) 0.13mm/N
· Moving mass (Mms) 310g
· Mech. Q factor (Qms) 10.86
· Electr. Q factor (Qes) 0.52
· Total Q factor (Qts) 0.50
· Equivalent volume (Vas) 126 l
· DC resistance (Re) 2 x 1.9?/1 x 3.8ohmy
· Force factor (BxL) 19Tm
· Voice coil induct. (Le) 2 x 0.7mH/1 x 2.8mH
· Voice coil diameter O 75mm
· Voice coil former Kapton
· Linear excursion (XMAX) ą25mm
· Eff. cone area (Sd) 830cm2
· Magnet weight 180oz.
· Weight 15.6kg
Size of the enclosures is not a constraint, I do want the loudest (and preferably most precise) possible output out of them, for a room and not a big open space that is, but I am also itching to try out something new, I was looking into dual chamber triple tuned enclosures, 4th and 6th order bandpass, horn loaded designs, etc. I just want to make something different, but I'm not that familiar with what's best for the specs of my new subwoofers. Also I'm fairly good at SketchUp so designing the enclosure is not a problem, but I do want to know what other software would be useful to use, such as Hornresp, WinISD, etc?
Any and all suggestions are extremely helpful.

Greets!
Well, with these specs, it's really best overall in a simple MLTL or TQWT with ~20 Hz tuning, which peaks out at 120 Hz/2pi down to ~18 Hz or a bit less if tuned to 16 Hz for pipe organ symphonies. Vents will need to be too long if a simple reflex and a TH is nearly twice as large for just a little more peak SPL or trade it to go lower.
Anyway, HR, AkAbak or Leonard Audio's programs are popular for these. Get HR first and import these 'quickies' to look at and/or to use the Loudspeaker Wizard to modify to get familiar with them and ask more specific Qs if need be.

can't create output file: C:\hornresp\hornresp.exe
It says winzip, but my PC has had winzip uninstalled. They wanted to be paid.

7 zip was already installed.
But hornresp went and asked for win zip.
right click asks if I want to use 7zip.
It opens the archive and shows the .exe.
Click on the .exe brings up version 37 and then asks to download new version. this then defaults to winzip again.

Thanks for quickly 'jumping in' with the tutorial, reading Andrew's problem just now, I didn't have a clue how to do it.

'Sounds' like you may need to ask David as for all we know it may be a HR 'bug'...........

@ AndrewT
Create a new folder named for eg, HR Version 39.20 - Product Number 3920-150627 & place the .exe in there.
As you already have 7Zip, as i have, right click on the .exe & click Extract Here from the drop down menu.
You should then see this

can these text files be imported into Hornresp?
What's the process?
1. Copy the text files into the existing Hornresp\Import folder.
2. Select menu File > Import > Hornresp Record.
