Default Speaker quality

I would like to know that can we tell about the quality of a speaker without actually playing it by just checking its specs? How?

Almost nothing, "quality" is very subjective.

Hi,

You can understand its best use and likely maximum level
from specs, but you can't judge quality or quality control
that easily without making some assumptions, like you
tend to get what you pay for if your not ripped off.

If by speaker you mean speaker driver, the only parameter I know of that is even remotely a reasonable predictor of quality is BL. A strong motor is pretty hard to make cheaply unless you just lie about specs.

Hi,

Lots of the parameters allude to quality, but are not definitive.
Its stupid to say a nice frequency response does not imply quality.

I agree with the above, but what is seldom given in the specs
is comphrehensive distortion data at many output levels.

Klippels site is worth perusing for SOTA driver measurements.

I just wanna know that can we judge about a speaker's sound i.e. bass or mid quality by looking at their respective t/s parameters?

you can judge the enclosure type by its typical specs. not the sound quality. Sply the bass or else. room effect too is significant. mostly while working on hand crafted speakers for the customer. I do make a note of room and its intended placement.

Reminds me of somebody once telling me about JBL LSR305, such frequecy response, much dispersion, wins everything. I asked him why is it priced at $199 then.

Hi,

Nothing about the mid quality and some idea of the possible bass extension.
Being small signal parameters they don't say much about the bass quality.
