The real question is why a T60 isn't enough for a 10 x 13 room haha that sounds nuts!! And if that's the case, I would probably high pass around 32-35 anyway. What order slope are you using at those frequencies?

Room mode smoothing, I only get bass along the rear wall of the room due to cancellations with one sub. I have it highpassed at the minimum I'd let it go (28 I think, 8th order) I always use 8th order HP's. The whole concept behind the 2x12 was match the T60 in output down to 35, in less than half the size, I'd say it does it 35-50 but 65-100 the efficiency of the FLH is obvious.

stop using 8th order hipasses.

excess group delay (ringing) is the product. 24db/oct bw is as steep as necessary.
