Instrument speaker as subwoofer

I can aquire a pair of JBL 15" k140 speakers for a really good price
from a friend.

I was wondering if one(or both) of them would work for a subwoofer for HT. or if there would be some problem doing this.

I managed to find the specs for them as well.

They need big cabinets and hardly any power relative to hifi units that
will do the same in much smaller cabinets but need a lot more power.
