Smile 15" needs a amp

ssa gcon 15" sub 750 watts

looking at
alpine mrx-m110 1100 watts @ 2 ohm

jl audio jx1000-1d 1000 watts @ 2 ohm

seem like good choices to me any comments or help suggestions appreciated
looking for a clean amp and reliable

What is the impedance of your 15"gcon ssa ported 32 hz box?

The two amps you mentioned would provide less power into 4 ohms and even less into 8 ohms.

I look for amps at the Salvation Army and equivalent places. Worlds greatest loudspeaker will be perfectly matched in performance quality to any ordinary amp of 25 yrs ago*.

Best to check just how much power you really need in your room. Often just a fraction of the phantasy concepts some people have. If you are multi-amped with an electronic crossover, your power needs are greatly reduced.

*Some ESLs and other exotica may have special demands on an amp. But not usual for any shaking-cardboard kind of driver.
