I look for amps at the Salvation Army and equivalent places. Worlds greatest loudspeaker will be perfectly matched in performance quality to any ordinary amp of 25 yrs ago*.
Best to check just how much power you really need in your room. Often just a fraction of the phantasy concepts some people have. If you are multi-amped with an electronic crossover, your power needs are greatly reduced.
