I'm using two MTX RTL 12-44 subs in one ported enclosure. I can not find software for iphone to plot responces with different tuning. I have Thiele small's for them. I've tried all online Java programs, they do not work. Can someone give me a leg up?

These subs are dual 4 ohm coils. Configuered to 8 ohm

These measured or published?

For a vehicle? If so, have you tried any of the factory recommendations?

For HIFI/HT use, a T/S max flat vented alignment for just one driver is huge at ~596 L/16.54 Hz and sealed can only go as low as a room size ~0.755 Qtc = Qts, though both will probably be higher if these are published specs.

From this we see that normally some form of OB or well damped vented [~aperiodic] alignment is required to shrink the cab down to some manageable size at high sound quality [SQ] at the expense of reduced bass output.

Hi,

The short answer is convert your boxes
to sealed and well stuffed for hifi use.
For in car probably don't change tuning.

From your other post I'm surmising this is home
use. It is not good to split questions across posts.

You really should have asked about replacing your
speakers drivers here in the first place, with as
much detail possible about the original speakers.

Considering the same enclosure you are using (mentioned in the other thread) Cabinet Speaker MTX AAL212 with dimensions:
38.8125in = 98.584cm
15.1875in = 38.576cm
15in = 38.100cm
and considering thickness 15.8mm (19-ply?)
118L = 4.1671ft³
Plus 4 liters for adjoining mids (and ports?) and 5 liters for (2x12") drivers displacement we have:
109L = 3.8493ft³ or 54.5L = 1.9246ft³ (net) for each driver.
What might work "nicely" with a QTC = 1.2 in a sealed 3-Way.
Pay attention for the right impedance (drivers and coils, series/parallel) that matches both crossover and amplification.

Where did you find the T/S ?

Hi bjorno,

While looking at your posted results, I noticed a bug in the Filter Wizard 🙂.

The attached screenprint taken from your post states that the 4th order Butterworth slopes are -6 dB per octave, when they should be -24 dB per octave.

This error occurs when the Wizard is re-opened - hopefully it can be fixed in the next day or so.

Kind regards,

David
