Default Do you recognize this 18" pa woofer

Hello everyone, I just bought this pa driver off a fellow in my area. He said it came out of a martin WSX bin. It looks a little older but it works, no buzzes or rattles. Since my phone can't interface with the manage attachments function on this site, I have loaded the pix on dropbox. They go in order of descriptive features.

If you recognise this driver that'd be great. Thanks for any help.

Someone recently posted one that looked like that but I can't find the thread. AFAIR it's Canadian made and IIRC it's from the 80's?

Definitely eminence.

Email them the sticker info. They should be able to give you the specs on it.

Yeah that looks just like some eminence drivers I have... they make a lot of stuff for OEMs.

Now that you mention it it looks a lot like classic eminence frame and magnet assembly. Thanks for the help.

Even though it says "wsx" on the side, it only vaguely resembles the driver found in the WSXs. I maintain a large inventory of Martin boxes and the driver in the WSX is an RCF driver. The terminals on the RCF are of a cheaper plastic style, and spaced further apart, and the back of the magnet is slightly curved with 6? vents.

Hi kovacika,

The WSX is loaded with a RCF 18P300 (and looks different). Yes, the 8 'holes' are vents directly connected to the 'chamber' behind the gap.

I took a look at eminence's website. This driver looks exactly like an Omega pro 18 A.
