Sometime during Ender's Game my VA-907 was pushed a little too far...now the voice coil rubs and it's as clear as day. I know it's not a HT sub but I'm using it while my regular one is on loan.
I'd like to replace the 8" driver, as I normally use the sub in a small music system. The enclosure is ~1.2 cu. ft and has a 10" passive radiator. Without knowing much else, is there a driver that would get me close?
edit: Under closer inspection, the problem is actually the foam surround failing. The voice coil is fine. I think I found what I need here: http://www.simplyspeakers.com/velodyne-speaker-foam-edge-repair-kit-fsk-8-1.html. How is the quality of SS foams?
