Hi all
At work they have finished a number of neat acoustic apps for the Iphone / Ipad. Sebastian and Doug have been working away and the Acoustical calculator, End-fired & Cardioid array simulation, ear training programs are released.
They are more for commercial sound area so I don’t know if they would be of interest but hey, they are free.

Do you have, or will you have, Apps/Soft for PC's ?

We do have, a 2D and 3D acoustic modeling program that runs on PC.
They are both more powerful programs than the iphone apps and have the 3D acoustic models for most of our loudspeakers in them.
The main use for these is figuring out the coverage pattern in rooms and seeing what arrangements work best in a given room.

For making cardioid and end fire bass arrays or any other array, one can use a generic source in the 2d program to design them as well.

You can get an idea what the results of those are, the white paper below used both the measured loudspeaker data and generic models to produce the examples and graphics;

I tried to install DDT v.1.55 but unfortunately it BSOD my XP PC ! No harm done though as i was in Virtual mode On rebooting i used a handy App i have & performed a static analysis of DDT_2d.exe I discovered it appears to require .NET installed. As i won't have that on any PC with internet access, for security reasons, i won't be able to use it on this PC i'm afraid. I'll need to install it on different PC, which is @ another location.

I did download & read the associated PDF's, & i'm Very impressed with it's capabilities. So i'm looking forward to tinkering with it soon, & also the 3D version
