You didn't reply to ANY of my questions ?

To save messing around with Photobucket, when you're replying, just click on the button in my screenie & Upload DIRECTLY from your PC to here. Much quicker & better for ALL of us.

I can't make sense of what you're trying to do/test with that setup right now! You havn't got a Xover yet, as far as i'm aware anyway. Are you trying to use the EQ as a Temp Xover ?

Sorry Zero, I forgot what you told me.

I am trying to run a passive subwoofer (two Alpine SWR 1040D) with a Crown DC300A and until I get an active crossover, am attemping to run a graphic EQ through the tape loop moniter to cut the highs for now and run the main Altecs through the Aux. out to second receiver just to see how it sounds.

I assume that this is also how I would also hook up sub crossover or maybe it's after the volume knob? This is all new to me.

At any rate, I got it hooked up and it sounds amazingly not half bad.

I still haven't had a chance to play with the WinISD and it appears that both versions download when I thought the the Beta version hadn't. I will tell you the error code tonight when I get home.

And yes I am using it as addministrator.

Zero D, here's what's going on.

After I save and close the driver parameter dialog box, then try to close the main scaled screen, it mearly minimizes and I get Access violation at address 01D311C6. Write of address 00000000.

If I try to close the entire program, I get Access violation at address 00000028. Read of address 00000028.

Your diagram is close except I have two EQ's which is why I am running everything in stereo. One from the Auxilary Out to EQ to receiver and Altecs and one through the tape loop and from the Pre-out to Crown to Alpines.

I would like to personally thank you for taking all of time to walk me through all of this and apologize for my whine fest posted last night. Need anything drawn in AutoCAD? :)

I can't find out much about the specific Access violation codes ! But often using a program in Compatibility Mode for a previous OS works. Just to see if it works for you, try the simple steps in my screenie. Right click on WinISD's program icon first.

There should be several choices, so try each in turn, eg - Win98/WinMe - W98/2000 - XP I'd be interested to hear if ANY of the options work.

Anyway, it's good to know the latest version is working for you :)

I wasn't aware you had 2 EQ's ! You really need to get that Xover, & soon ;)

Appreciate that :) I realise learning new things can be frustrating, but the more you try, the easier it becomes.

Need anything drawn in AutoCAD?

Not right now, but ya never know.

Sorry but, Windows compatibility mode XP; FAIL. Windows 98; FAIL. This is a Toshiba laptop Wall mart Special my Mother in law bought for me and the first time Microsoft did a system update, I lost the CD driver . I had my brother , a PC specialist, another PC specialist, and my son’s best friend, also a specialist work on it and they all said I was F’ed. Had my daughter in law’s brother look at it and after merely renaming the CD drive to E, had it running. Go Figure.

I'm pretty much computer illiterate, but one thing I was told way back with my first computer/Win95 was to never let Windoze auto install aftermarket programs unless 'it' refused to allow you to create a folder to install it to and have never had any problems with any that me and others have done on my computers, so wondering if this might help since simply renaming a drive helped. If nothing else, you at least know where it and its various sub folders are without having to search for them.......

Ok, tried to install WinISD 0.7.0.900 now that you remention it. Would not continue untill I uninstalled the version; Beta 0.50a7. Finally installed correctly, but had to search for the obscure location where the earlier version hid the created drivers. I notice that Win Alpha has certain drivers, Beta has others, and the three programs can't find the stored drivers or saved created drivers. Confusing!!!

I will report back when I get a chance to try it.
