Default New here

Hello everyone I am new here and got a question.
I dont know much about audio as I am new to it but I just know that I want better audio. I saw some speakers for sale and my question is over them. They have a polk psw110 as the sub and polk tsi100 as speakers but they also have a numark npm5 for speakers as well.

My question is will I need a receiver to power this? they told me i would need to just power the speakers with receiver but not the bass with the tsi100 but they weren't sure with the npm5.
Also, they have 2 receivers for sale which are the technical pro rx35u and pioneer elite vsx 40. The pro is cheaper so I am leaning towards that for buying it.

Also, I want this for the TV but every now and then I want to connect to computer to play games if that is possible since the receiver has an mp3 input.
Hope you guys can help me

Greets!

There may be someone here that can answer your Qs, but this is a DIY only website, so your best bet is on the consumer forums such as found here or similar:

The Numark NPM5 Studio Monitor it's an Active stereo speaker. You can connect your mixer...(or pre-amp)
