The Gjallarhorn does have som peaks and resonances. Seems to be the case with all TH designs. Does this happen with FLH as well? I haven't seen any anechoic waterfalls of FLH.
Bill's hand drawn plots of in room response curves make it difficult to know what the cabinet's actual response is.
In general, a good FLH can approach a decade (20-200, 40-400 Hz) of useful smooth operation, while a TH is more limited to 2-3 octaves.

As you can see from the phase and frequency response of the DSL TH and their FLH with roughly the same low frequency cutoff, the TH actually has less phase shift than the FLH in the 20-200 Hz range.

Tapped or front loaded horn?
What dimensions are we talking about for a response from 20/25-200 Hz? Two units would be fine.

Wonder if that could be an option to traditional frontloaded box(es).

Dimensions depend on the output level you desire.
