ShaQBlogs, Sorry I am not sure if you are married. But would say. you do not get all features in single one. like wise. each design has pros and cons.

if you say tight ( real) then you would be recommended closed sub. but then to go low you would need equalizer ( there are few methods) but then they add their phase distortions.

to make it powerful you will have to use more power. as closed enclosure ( although low group delay) has lower efficiency compared to vented.

I would say what specs are you looking for ? have you shortlisted sub driver?

I am looking for a music first sub. I can sacrifice depth for now and maybe explore a HT sub later in time. So its a sealed enclosure I am after.
I have been leaning towards Dayton Reference 12" driver (widely used, safer bet since i read many good reviews).

Was recommended Peerless and Infinity Harmen 1262's or Kappa (havent seen many use this car driver for home audio...except this one). Infinity drivers are available back here in India, but some guys here are not very impressed with it.

I was recommended dual opposed design, but it looks like people here are not much for a dual opposed.
