What is the the name of that design? Is it a good design? any experience ? Thank

Hi,

Its basically a tapered TL with driver placing near the 1/3 null point.

For the right driver its a good design, though most are folded,
the 1/3 point only really convenient for a 3 way, but YMMV.

Note that the 1/3rd number is an approximation. The optimum offset is dependent on the taper ratio. Basic numbers buried in MJK's alignment tables.

Depending on what you are doing a single fold can work well, an example: http://p10hifi.net/TLS/downloads/B139-TTL-map-100707.pdf. Mount a mid-tweeter above the woofer and away you go.

(this could use a 90 degree partition to make it esier to build)

You can also do a single fold and unload the back "half" early (Bob Brines IIRC was the 1st examplei saw)
