Hi ....
I need a help here again ... I have a 12in Subwoofer driver here ... Parameters are: Qts: 0.285 Qms: 5.720 Qes:0.300 Vas:94.55L Fs: 31.75Hz Re: 3.5ohm Zohm: 4ohm Sd:95.03in2 P(rms)150W Sensitivity: 92.07dB Pictures are available too: I plan to use it with 71 liter of box size and using 2 of the drivers ... as the parameters above turns out from WINisd it suggests that vented box works best ... but any other suggestions here? i plan to use with active EQ ... Thanks alot for any helps, suggestions and feedback ...

Hi, what f3 do you require ? And will both drivers share the same 71 L box, or will it be 2 x 72 L boxes ?

I would think one of these drivers in a box of 71L would go much lower than 2 of them and be loud enough at its rated sensitivity for use in a car.

mine plan is use 2 of these drivers in 71liters internal volume .... i will design the box so it can use either 1 or 2 driver ... just incase i would like to experiment with single driver i just can block off the another driver hole ...
now my concern is to have more gain in SPL ... but using WINisd simulated shows that it just shift the F3 abit higher when using 2drivers ... which i think can be corrected using parametric EQ ... my target F3 is 40-50Hz (of course lower the better) ... but software simulated tells me it can be corrected by EQ ... but just worry about the Xmax issue ... i didnt measure the xmax yet but reasonable xmax for a 12in driver .... i would like to use a 5in flared port ... And also there is any software can help me to simulate the transfer function magnitude of the system when cabin gain is taken into consideration ... ? |
