Hi Dag,

That's great to get some real data. Was this on one or more drivers, and new or broken in?

Regards,

I have measured 4, all broken in and very similar data.
I have to say i am impressed with these subwoofers, they are rugged, well made (no vent noise etc) and sound nice in many different boxes.

Dag

Hi Dag,

That gives me hope. I bought 2 when they were on sale, but have not done anything with them yet. Getting measured T/S is really helpful, what was your Fs?

Regards,

Oh, i forgot that: 25,57Hz

If dont mind 8-10cuft boxes try TH.
If you prefer something smaller, i think it is hard to beat this driver in a 3,5cuft reflex box.

Thanks for parameters Dag.

Using these suggest that when aiming same Qtc the box could be smaller but to reach same F12 it would require same box size. At 108L the Qtc=0.438...maybe it's too low and will affect sound.

42 - 67L seems now best choice.

Hi Dag,

Thanks for the measured Fs. As far as other enclosure forms are concerned, I have designed a bunch of those on paper. The THs all end up to be rather large when looking at a home theater, much larger than what Veke76 is interested in.

Regards,

Hi Veke76,

Give yourself lots of internal volume for braces, filling and the driver. In a sealed box it never hurts to have a little extra volume, you can always fill it up later. How high (frequency) do you want to run this?

Regards,

I've done modelling with Google Sketchup and seems to be about 480x480x480mm cube what I end up with. Acoustic volume is at 67L. It has all the braces and amp section on it.

Frequency at normal listening @80Hz and for partying @120Hz

...some sketches...bracing is now at minimum 10mm but I will make it wider...

Edit: uups...bracings at half way is not good...it hits drivers magnet...
