Angry MOSFETs in Definitive Technology Pro Sub 1000 Defaced

I have never seen this done, hence this post:

I acquired a Definitive Technology ProSub 100 that has stopped working. I opened it up and noticed the POS+ and NEG- strips on the PCB after the caps were burnt open. I corrected that and moved on to the output stage. The FETs were shorted. OK so I just replace those and it'll be good to go.

When I removed the FETs, I noticed they were all defaced . Someone took the time to scratch of the ID numbers on all three components. This unit was never repaired/opened, so it had to have come from the manufacturer like that.

Has anyone ever seen this done at the manufacturing level, or at any level? I will need a schematic to identify these components. If anyone can help that would be awesome.

have you tried calling/emailing tech support? I've had companies send me parts no charge before by just asking for the part by the board ID #

Update: I was able to locate the part numbers. Apparently the Electro-Voice SXA180 subwoofer uses the same output module (DS-300), and I found the schematic here. Works out great.

How is the amp performing? Is it what you expected? How is the sound?

Thanks

Defacing of electronic components was often used to stop people messing with equipment and make them send it back to manufacturer to fix.
