Default Scoop bass bin is dying out

Here in jamaica Scoop bass bins which is apart of reggae dancehall history is slowly dying out.Over the years many sound system owners redesign their bass bins to look like this pic below and they do not play as low as the scoop does.

Well that looks like a two driver box. Deff not THAT big for two drivers. And scoops or FLH's take up more space than TH's, so it looks like they are just trying to take up less space?

hi stanley.
in fact the typical scoop doesn't go that low ,they just sound low becuase of the dip just above the pasband.
here is a typical responce curve of 4 scoops @ 2.83v
